“We Didn’t Start The Fire” Live. HD-Ansicht lohnt sich.

Gestern Abend habe ich im Radio (FFN) einen Klassiker gehört, den ich schon fast vergessen hatte: “We Didn’t Start The Fire” von Billy Joel. Ich finde ihn wirklich großartig: Sowie musikalisch als auch inhaltlich. Das Lied besteht eigentlich nur aus einer genialen Anreihung von Ereignissen und Persönlichkeiten der Jahre 1949 (Geburtsjahr von Billy Joel) und 1989 (Erscheinungsjahr). Genaue diese Tatsache macht das Lied so interessant.

Viele werden bei dem Lied unwillkürlich an die Parodie von Otto Waalkes (“Wir haben Grund zum Feiern“) denken müssen, mit dem ich “groß geworden” bin.
